A bill that aims to advance homosexuality in public schools is back, making its way through the California Legislature. SB 777 would ban any textbook or program in schools that "reflects adversely" on or "promotes bias against" the gay community.
Last year, a similar bill was vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, pro-gay lawmakers are making a swift attempt to pass SB 777 — a bill that gives the gay agenda free rein in public schools.
The measure has already passed the Assembly Judiciary Committee.
"It is very quickly going to the full state Assembly, which is the last chamber for this bill to pass," Benjamin Lopez with the Traditional Values Coalition told Family News in Focus. "And should it pass there, it goes to the governor for a signature or veto."
He said California families are in grave danger if the bill passes. The bill goes before two more committees before coming up for a floor vote in August.
