Voters Care About Candidates' Abortion Stance, Poll Says

A Fox News poll Friday revealed that 45 percent of Americans need to know a candidate’s position on abortion before they vote.

The poll also showed that pro-life voters are more concerned with a candidate's position on abortion than pro-abortion voters. Fifty-six percent of pro-life voters said they want to know where a candidate stands on abortion, while only 41 percent of pro-abortion voters said they need to know.

"Candidates should be aware that abortion remains a significant issue for many voters, particularly pro-life ones," said Dawn Vargo, associate bioethics analyst for Focus on the Family Action. “Voters are correct to do their homework before going to the polls.”
