Good News: Planned Parenthood Florida Affiliates Shut Down

Planned Parenthood of South Palm Beach and Broward Counties has been told to close clinics in five cities while problems related to financial discrepancies and medical problems are resolved.

After four board members resigned in protest of improper accounting procedures, officials from the national Planned Parenthood inspected the clinics and reportedly found “deficiencies” with the clinics’ conditions and medical operations, as well as problems with policies and procedures.

Several board members had been complaining to the national Planned Parenthood Federation about the conditions for at least 18 months, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said Planned Parenthood is a “money-grubbing group that has little consideration for the law.”

“Given the track record of the abortion cartel, it was likely the misuse of money that brought the national organization down on the Florida group, rather than the shoddy clinic conditions," he said. "They have repeatedly demonstrated that they care more about money than they do about women."
