LodgeNet, the company that provides in-room hotel movies, including a large number of pornographic videos, took a beating in the stock market earlier this week.
The Sioux Falls, S.D., company recently merged with OnCommand, another porn-provider, in an attempt to expand market share.
Vickie Burress with CleanHotels.com is backing a campaign criticizing LodgeNet.
"We are not taking credit for their stock falling, but we have been bringing what they are doing to light," she told Family News in Focus. "Our goal is that they would get out of the pornography business. LodgeNet, we have heard, makes over 60 percent of their income from hardcore, explicit pornography. What we want to do is bring light to that."
Chris Hupke, president of the South Dakota Family Policy Council, is also part of the "Truth About LodgeNet" campaign.
"This is an international issue," he said, "because, this company distributes the material that's produced by people that are brought from around the world and trafficked, and it's a real concern."
