Ben Stein's documentary, Expelled, which chronicles the censorship of teachers, professors and students who question the theory of Darwinian evolution, is available on DVD today. The film earned more than $7 million in theaters.
Stein said he hopes the DVD will continue to open up the debate of freedom of speech and freedom of education in the U.S.
“Scientists are supposed to be allowed to follow the evidence wherever it may lead, no matter what the implications are," he said in a statement. "Freedom of inquiry has been greatly compromised, and this is not only anti-science, it’s anti-American.”
