Take Action: Sebelius Vetoes Pro-Life Legislation

Just days after she received approval from the Senate Finance Committee to lead the Health and Human Services Department, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius vetoed pro-life legislation in her home state.

SB 218 would have required abortionists to report specific reasons for late-term abortions and allowed women to sue an abortionist over an illegal abortion.

Judy Smith, director of Concerned Women for America of Kansas, said: “It’s really ironic that a woman who claims to be for women’s rights would be so cavalier about rejecting an opportunity they may have for legal recourse when their rights may be violated by an abortionist.”

The pro-abortion Sebelius has admitted tax problems, and failed to report $23,000 in campaign contributions from notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller, after being asked by the committee to reveal such information.

The Senate is expected to vote on her nomination soon.
