Giant '71' to Remind Congress of Opposition to Abortion

A pro-life group is giving the U.S. Congress an oversized reminder that 71 percent of Americans oppose taxpayer-funded abortion in health care.

The Christian Defense Coalition, led by the Rev. Pat Mahoney, will unroll a 100-foot banner displaying a giant "71" on the west lawn of the Capitol on Friday.

"Americans intuitively know that abortion is not health care," he said. "Tax dollars should be used to help and provide compassion and justice for people, not to pay for abortions."
