Poll: Maine Voters Favor Marriage

Over half of Maine voters say they are in favor of repealing the state's same-sex "marriage" law.

A Public Policy Polling survey finds 51 percent plan to vote for the repeal Tuesday, up from two weeks ago when a similar poll showed 48 percent favoring marriage between one man and one woman.

Mark Mutty, campaign chair of Stand for Marriage Maine, said the battle is significant.

"Thirty states have voted on this issue and have maintained traditional marriage," he told Fox News.  "Ultimately, in a race like this, the decisive factor is who comes out to the polls."
