A Biblical View Of Mastery

Money is a cruel master

Many have fallen hostage to the unbearable and insatiable lordship of money. If you serve money, you cannot serve God, too. There is nothing wrong with being rich, but when you are rich because your serve money, your life becomes miserable. The lord of money is never satisfied. Money screams three words: "More! More! More!" On the other hand, those who understand that God has created everything will live with a proper biblical perspective. God is sovereign. He gives, just as He can take away. But He owns all that we see (and don't see). If you are wise with the little God has given you, He may very well bless you with more. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, then will you be blessed. Realize, however, that His blessings may not always translate into monetary riches; although, He does bless some with great wealth.
