Alabama's House of Representatives will vote on HB 527, a gambling-expansion measure, soon.
House Representatives will consider Alabama citizens' concerns about changing their Constitution to allow more gambling if they truly care about - and represent - Alabama citizens. House Bill 527 seeks to legalize video bingo games for high stakes at greyhound racetracks in Birmingham and Mobile.
The Alabama Supreme Court has already ruled that video gambling machines and sweepstakes are unlawful. But t
his dangerous bill would amend Alabama's Constitution, opening the door for gambling expansion. Alabama Representatives need to hear from citizens soon. Fight for Alabama's future and defend families against the blight of gambling addiction.
