How can I Contact my Elected Officials with my Concerns about Porn?

Tips for local activism

Focus on the Family's Citizenlink.com provides an online service that helps you find contact information for federal, state, and even local officials.

When contacting your elected representatives, be sure to be clear, courteous, and concise as possible.  Also mention your situation in life, such as being a local businessman or a homemaker with children.  Let the official know if you have been politically active or have helped with his or her campaign in the past.

Elected officials are paid to serve the public whom they represent.  Your concerns should be taken seriously, but this isn't always the case.  It might help to organize a number of people with the same concerns to also contact your official or take the time to sit down and meet with a member of his or her staff.  Don't be afraid to be persistent.
