Ohio Lawmakers Consider Abortion Ban

Ohio state Rep. Tom Brinkman introduced legislation Tuesday to outlaw all abortion, including the distribution of abortion-inducing drugs, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Brinkman said it is his hope that an abortion ban would set the wheels in motion toward overturning Roe v. Wade – the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

Gov. Ted Strickland has promised to veto any bill that restricts abortion.
