Values Voters Get Ready for Important Election

Pro-family issues take the stage at annual summit.

Sixty days before voters choose the next president, values voters from around the world will gather in Washington, D.C., for Values Voter Summit 2008. The Sept. 12-14 event is hosted by FRC Action and co-sponsored by Focus on the Family Action, American Values and the Alliance Defense Fund.

Last year's event drew more than 400 members of the media from every major media outlet in America and almost 2,600 values voters from 49 states and other nations.

FRC Action President Tony Perkins said: "This event is a call to action for voter participation, education and training and a rallying event for patriotic Americans who want to transform the political landscape on issues such as the sanctity of life and marriage, illegal immigration, religious freedom, health care, radical Islam, judicial activism, Hollywood's influence, the media and much more."

Newt Gingrich, Bill Bennett, Michael Steele, Chuck Colson, Michael Medved and others are confirmed speakers.

Early registration is available for the event, which will be held at the Hilton Washington Hotel. An exhibit hall, radio row, book signings, gala dinner and much more will be packed into the three-day conference.
