The Central London Employment Tribunal has sided with a Christian registrar whose job was threatened when she requested permission to opt out of performing same-sex ceremonies.
The tribunal upheld Lillian Ladele's claims of discrimination, harassment and victimization.
“It is a victory for religious liberty, not just for myself but for others in a similar position,” Ladele said after the ruling. "Gay ‘rights’ should not be used as an excuse to bully or harass people over their religious beliefs."
