Attorneys with the Pacific Justice Institute sued a California school Tuesday after students' requests to start an after-school, student-led Bible club were denied.
Officials at Esperanza High School told students the club would be allowed to meet only if it studied all major religions.
"Requiring the Bible club to study either all religions or none is like forcing the chess club to also play checkers," said Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute. "This is nonsense, and we are looking forward to vindicating these students' rights in court."
