The University of Maryland agreed to modify its speech-code and speech-zone policies after moving a pro-life group to a less visible location.
The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) sued the university after it forced Rock for Life students to move their pro-life display because of its "intimidating, hostile or offensive" speech.
“Pro-life students at the University of Maryland shouldn’t suffer discrimination for their beliefs,” ADF Senior Counsel Steven H. Aden said. “We are encouraged by the university’s decision to change its speech policies so the constitutional rights of its students will be respected.”
