A notorious Michigan abortionist faces 12 misdemeanor charges after patients' medical records were found in the trash. Each count is punishable by 90 days in jail and/or a $100 fine.
The investigation began earlier this year when life advocates discovered the records, as well as human remains, in Dumpsters behind his WomanCare clinics. At that point, the state required the workers to be retrained.
Alberto Hodari, who runs six abortion clinics, reportedly has been sued 23 times in 20 years and was responsible for the botched second-trimester abortion death of a 15-year-old girl in 2004.
"Hodari joins an ever increasing list of abortionists who are facing criminal charges across the nation," Operation Rescue President Troy Newman said. "This trend demonstrates that while abortionists believe and act as if they are above the law, states are beginning to see how dangerous these clinics are, and are beginning to crack down on them, with the help of pro-life whistleblowers."
