Don't Forget to Register to Vote

The deadline for voter registration is rapidly approaching. In some states, voters must register by next week.

While it is important for everyone to vote, voters in three states will play a significant role on Election Day in the fight to protect the definition of marriage.

In November, California, Arizona and Florida will vote on state constitutional amendments that would define marriage as the union between one man and one woman.

Cathi Herrod, president of The Center for Arizona Policy, called on voters to fight for marriage at the polls.

"Marriage between a man and a woman is best for children and best for society," she told CitizenLink recently. "We have a small window of time in which to secure the definition of marriage for our children and grandchildren. That’s why we’re working to pass marriage amendments across the country."

Arizona and Florida voters must be registered by Oct. 6; California's deadline is Oct. 20.

TAKE ACTION
Check the voter-registration deadline in your state. And don't forget to vote Nov. 4.
