Make Sure You're Registered to Vote

Don't let petty excuses keep you home on Nov. 4.

In his Stoplight video commentary, Stuart Shepard discovers new technology that makes it easier than ever for you to explain why you're not voting in November.

The deadline for voter registration is rapidly approaching. In some states, voters must register by next week.

Carrie Gordon Earll, senior director of Issue Analysis at Focus on the Family Action, said it's not surprising that people need to be encouraged and motivated to vote.

"Most of us have our hands full with our jobs, families and church responsibilities," she said. "The idea of adding one more responsibility can be overwhelming. That's why groups like Focus on the Family want to make voter registration as simple as possible.

"We're all busy, but the right to vote should not be something we take for granted. Too many Americans have died to protect this right. The least we can do is be registered and exercise it."

TAKE ACTION
Register to vote today. And don't forget to vote Nov. 4.
