California Power Company Endorses Homosexual 'Marriage'

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) is taking sides in the California marriage debate by opposing the state marriage amendment headed to the November ballot.

PG&E recently contributed $250,000 to defeat Prop. 8, which would amend the state constitution to restore the traditional definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

PG&E is violating its trust with California citizens as a public utility. California’s largest power company is brushing aside the views of millions of its customers who want marriage and family protected. Even worse, PG&E is openly encouraging other businesses to follow its lead in opposing the marriage amendment.

TAKE ACTION
PG&E’s actions must be challenged. Please call the board members and ask them to explain how the definition of marriage can possibly affect the company's operations.

The members of the Public Policy Committee are the most important individuals to contact.

To leave a message for all board members at once, you can call any of the PG&E numbers listed below. We've provided several numbers to ensure you can express your views.

Please follow the automated prompts with the first three numbers to reach a live operator who will take your comments. The Customer Relations number will allow you to leave a voice mail for the board members, and a PG&E staffer will call you back to confirm receipt of your message.

In addition, three board members have separate contact details listed under their names. Please remember to be firm, but polite, when you speak with the board members and staff or leave a message.

In addition, we've launched a citizens' petition, to give you another way to protest PG&E's donation.  Please take a moment to sign our PG&E petition and then forward this e-mail to your family and friends in California so they can make their voices heard as well.  We'll deliver the petitions to PG&E and ask the company to immediately withdraw its donation.
