I became a Christ-follower in 2000, at the age of 26. I had no idea how to be a Christian. I discovered Focus on the Family not long after being saved — there are just a few Christian radio stations, and I was searching for them all! Focus on the Family helped to reinforce what the Spirit inside me was trying to tell me. Dr. Dobson and his staff have helped saved my marriage, given me perspective in a self-focused society, and made me a better mother. I have also mended an old grudge with my stepmother, and she credits my relationship with God as the reason we are reconciled. Go, God!
For years, I have relied on the wisdom of Focus on the Family as a regular part of my week, and now, as a stay-at-home mother of three, I rely on it even more! Real conversations about living in the image of Jesus Christ are invaluable, and the lack of condemnation for the errors along the way make Focus on the Family a precious resource for Christians. Having access to the broadcast is akin to spending time each week with a wise church elder or grandparent. Well, except that my children are not required to put on their "company manners" when I turn on the radio!
