I have often wished I could express just how much Focus has helped me over the years! I first discovered you back in '82 when I became a desperate, single mom. I was confused and searching. God heard my cry and was merciful and forgiving. I discovered Christian radio in Southern California, including Focus, and what a blessing it was! Strength and encouragement when I was depressed, wisdom for parenting, how to be better organized, how to work and raise a youngster at the same time without guilt, how to be a woman of God in an ungodly world, and what pro-life meant!
In the meantime, I met a Christian therapist who desired to serve the Lord with all his heart. After we married and decided to have a baby, we agreed with Dr. Dobson that a child is best raised by his mother at home, so I quit work and we cut our expenses.
Spiritual guidance, parenting and marriage wisdom, and the "end of life" test — where hasn't our lives been positively and profoundly affected by Dr. James Dobson and Focus on the Family?! Radio Hall of Fame isn't nearly recognition enough! We know he's already a member of a much more important Heavenly Hall of Fame and Faith. It feels like we couldn't have made it without his bright guiding light, his righteous stand, his bold bravery. We thank God that he's been humbly obedient to the Father always.
