A Wall Street Journal opinion piece lays out some of the major problems with proposed health-care reform and the inclusion of abortion.
Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life, wrote the piece and said aggressive negotiations are underway as to how to handle abortion funding in health-care reform.
“The important thing is for pro-life Americans to understand that there’s a lot of spin going on,” she said, “and a lot of distortion of truth when descriptions of the different health-care reform proposals are made in public.”
As it stands, proposals include federal tax dollars going toward elective abortions. That’s something that has never taken place since abortion was legalized in the United States.
