Harvard University's pro-abstinence club, True Love Revolution has drawn the ire of campus activists because its new mission statement which points out that family and marriage are vital, and sex outside of marriage is harmful to both parties.
Feminists are outraged, saying sex is "an incredibly empowering experience."
Rachel Wagley, co-president of True Love Revolution, said real feminists choose abstinence.
"By saying that there are no gender roles or saying that women should become like male stereotypes in all respects," she said, "we lower our standards and it actually hurts women rather than helping women. We'd love to see the end of people being sexual objects."
