Pro-Life Group Gains Equal Footing

Middle Tennessee State University officials agreed not to charge the campus group Pro-life Collegians a fee to set up a booth on campus.

Other groups were allowed to put up similar booths without the fee, which the college said was for "security."

Joseph Martins, attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund, wrote a letter to the college demanding the fee be rescinded. The college complied.

"They had done this multiple times to Pro-life Collegians," Martins said. "We were certain this was something that was only being applied to this group."
