Control of the Senate Remains to be Decided

In Washington, Democratic incumbent Sen. Maria Cantwell is projected to win re-election against her Republican challenger, Mike McGavick, 56-to-41 percent.

In Missouri, Republican incumbent Sen. Jim Talent is leading Democrat Claire McCaskill -- a strong supporter of embryonic stem-cell research, 50 percent to 47 percent.

In Montana, incumbent Republican Sen. Conrad Burns is 10 points behind his Democratic challenger, Jon Tester, but Jeff Laszloffy, president of the Montana Family Foundation, said not to count Burns out.

"In his last race for the Senate, he was behind early on, as his is now, but was able to pull it out, so we're just going to wait and see," Laszloffy told CitizenLink.
