Collins, a former congressman, was nominated with 82 percent of the vote in a two-way primary. Elected in 2002, Marshall, who was unopposed in the primary, is seeking third term. Why we're watching: Marshall voted in favor of hate crimes legislation and against a focus on abstinence education in the Global AIDS bill. He also voted against gay marriage and to keep the death tax. Collins has a solid pro-family voting record and served 6 terms in Congress but stepped down in 2002 due to self-imposed term limits.

Burns, a former congressman, was unopposed in the primary. Elected in 2004, Barrows, who was unopposed in the primary, is seeking a second term. Why we're watching: Barrow voted in favor of hate-crimes legislation and favors embryonic stem-cell research. He voted in favor of the Marriage Protection Amendment. Burns was a co-sponsor of the Marriage Protection Amendment and has a 100 percent National Right to Life Campaign voting record.
