State Marriage Amendment - Constitutional Amendment C Yes: 52% No: 48% Precincts Reporting: 100% Constitutional Amendment C states that only marriage between a man and a woman shall be valid or recognized in South Dakota. The uniting of two or more persons in a civil union, domestic partnership or other quasi-marital relationship shall not be valid or recognized in South Dakota.

Prohibition of Abortion - Referred Law 6 Yes: 44% No: 56% Precincts Reporting: 100% Referred Law 6 is a referral of House Bill 1215 -- the Women’s Health and Human Life Protection Act -- for voter approval. A "yes" vote will keep the state law banning abortion in place.
