Sen. George Allen Leading in Va.

One of the most watched Senate races is in Virginia, where incumbent Sen. George Allen, the Republican, is leading Democrat Jim Webb, 52 percent to 46, with 16 percent of the vote tallied.

The Associated Press is reporting Allen has drawn "strong support from religious voters, those who have served in the military and those who believe terrorism is extremely important."

Dr. Janice Crouse, head of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, said that Allen's challengers underestimated values voters -- and the issues they support.

"Allen waged a very strong pro-life campaign," Crouse told CitizenLink. "He stressed how important pro-life issues were and he also stressed the fact that his opponent had voted the wrong way on so many pro-family issues."
