Tiller got a standing ovation from the conference goers but his remarks shocked Kristan Hawkins with Students for Life. When asked what he does with babies who are born alive, that he was attempting to abort, he said he didn’t consider them “viable.” Hawkins says that was just the beginning.
“He actually showed pictures of babies he had aborted that had fetal abnormalities. One picture, which is in the video, the baby had an extra arm. And he just killed the baby.”
The conference was held at the Washington headquarters of the National Education Association. Another issue for Hawkins.
“Why would the NEA, a teachers union, support or even allow the Feminist Majority Foundation in their facility? Because it looks very bad upon them.”
Betty Jochmann, who heads a conservative caucus at the NEA, says the union does not take a neutral stance on abortion.
“They claim they are neutral. Every year they tell us but their money trails speaks volumes in the opposite.”
The NEA isn’t commenting. In the meantime, Troy Newman with Operation Rescue applauds Students for Life.
“This is a fantastic job by America’s young people to get inside of these hard-left organizations and show the public what these people really believe.”
