The web site is run out of England, so maybe they have a different definition of the word ‘bimbo.’ Surely, no one would want a nine year-old role mimicking the American definition of the word. Spokesman Chris Evans.
“I’m not too sure what the American terminology for bimbo is but for England we would say a dizzy, blonde type.”
Evans’ website appears to have set a pretty low standard when it comes to how it wants to influence impressionable young customers.
“At the start we looked at teen magazines and things and we were sure that our web site is nowhere near as bad as them for self image.”
Evans admits he doesn’t have any idea how the game might sway the more than 200,000 members it has already signed up. Counselor Joanne Condie does.
“The full range of eating disorders, of plastic surgeries that are unnecessary, self inflicted injury, depression, suicide that they’re not matching with what they’re seeing on the billboards, the magazines and on these web sites.”
Condie has antidote to the destruction that can be caused by this game.
“Young girls need to get their proper self image from God, in that they are precious and created in the image of God.”
He would never think of his precious daughters as bimbos.
