Jon and Elane Huguenin declined to snap pictures of same gender women in a commitment ceremony. Jordan Lorence, Alliance Defense Fund Senior Counsel says the Huguenin’s act of religious conscience shouldn’t have been questioned.

De-segregating lunch counters in the 50’s and 60’s spawned laws Jordan says have gotten twisted over the years. And, this is an instance.
"These laws have morphed in a bad way metastasized into where they become a weapon of choice to bludgeon people of faith into bowing the knee to the homosexual agenda."
He’ll rely on a Supreme Court approved argument in appeals court.
"This is compelled speech. This is a photographer who uses artistic skills in creating images and she’s basically being forced by the law to promote the message of a same sex ceremony that she totally disagrees with."
National consequences could be on the horizon. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act, now in Congress, could cast a spell on the First Amendment. Rutherford Institute attorney, Peggy Grimm, says ENDA must be opposed.
“Free speech and religious freedoms are precious and we should do everything we can to support and protect those rights.”
20 states have already adopted employment discrimination laws.
