Planned Parenthood Mothers Day Fundraiser

by Kim Trobee

While you're washing-up the dishes from your special Mother’s Day dinner, the nation’s leading abortion provider is counting its change. This year, Planned Parenthood put a macabre twist on the celebration, using the holiday to raise funds … and venerate Mom's who support abortion.

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider sent an email to their constituents last week asking for donations in honor of Mother’s Day.  President Cecile Richards shared how her daughter thanked her for passing on her anti-life beliefs.  Pro-life blogger Jill Stanek calls it “grotesque.”

“For it to say in its Mother’s Day greeting to talk about daughters and mothers and grandmothers is actually hideous because the one things that Planned Parenthood fights for is for the freedom to abort daughters for whatever reason.”

And using the letter as a way to make money further irritates Stanek.

“There is nothing that Planned Parenthood won’t stoop to to raise money.”

Linda Klepacki, sexual health analyst for Focus on the Family Action, says it’s sad that those who have been given life by their mothers are so eager to take life from others.

“It seems like it is simply a way of almost making fun of mothers.  Almost making fun of life because they believe in so many pro-death policies.  How could they possibly send this out for Mother’s Day?”

The real “legacy” of Planned Parenthood is more than 45 million children killed since 1973.
