We have long admired your ministry, opinions and encouraging books. I can remember back in 1983 going to church to listen to your videos on family. My husband and I were so impressed with your views on family unity. How hard we laughed and cried at your situations that were hitting us in the same manner. I believe with God's grace, and having your references to go to, our marriage has been tied to God and endured 41 years together.
We have had a lot of uphill battles, including cancer, financial struggles, loss of employment, children with addiction, but we learned early about unconditional love for family from your encouragements. We have such a belief in the importance of family unity, that we have adopted two of our granddaughters and are fostering our 5-month-old grandson, who would have been separated due to an addiction. We believe our son will win the battle with drugs, and we know his children will be together and have each other in years to come.
Times have changed, and we are still very much involved in listening to your Focus on the Family broadcast. Dr. Dobson, you have definitely impacted our lives and those of our children and grandchildren. Thank you for your dedication to our family and millions around the world.
